my parents and i went down to Key Largo, which is near the tip of florida. it was pretty nice. we ate at a restraunt that reminded me of the ride Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland with the place across. it really looked like that. dimly lit, right on the water. pitch black sky. cant see anything after about 25 feet. it was really cool. today we went scuba diving. it was a little frightening at first. we went out 5 miles from the shore, and the whole time i was thinking "how can there not be sharks 5 miles out from land?" i knew that there had to be some. so finally i get in the water, after both my parents are in there heckling me. it was beautiful. at some points the water looked torquious. we got to spend an hour and a half in the water. i bought an undewater camera before we went. my mom saw a jellyfish near by me, which freaked me out because i didnt see it at all. and if i had, i would have gotten out of the water so maybe it was a good thing. so we are now home after a short 2 1/2 hour drive back. i am glad that we got to go. it was nice doing that. i know that it is going to be hard to say goodbye to them tomorrow morning. my poor parents wont have anymore kids in the house, and i know its going to be depressing. they were already depressed enough without my brothers being here, now me. who knows. i'm so nervous. but i am glad tomorrow is finally tomorrow. i'm tired of waiting here in florida with nothing to do, and no one to see. i just know that this year is going to be hard, but worth it.

So today my mom and I sang with the worship team at the Contemporary Service. It was actually pretty good. They have a lot of young musicians that are very talented. Today two of them did a medley on the violins, and after the service my dad and i were talking to one of them about the arrangement and my dad asked him if he wrote the harmony part, and the guy answered "i made it up as we were going." i was stunned. you never would have known. but of course, its because he is asian. he also plays the piano during worship. jeesh. he said that he plays 5 instruments, but "only 3 well." those darn asians.
so after the contemporary service my we all came home and ate breakfast and got back in time for the traditional service at 11:15. It was really good. Its super traditional, but its very beautiful. My favorite part today was when the choir sang a Josh Groban song, "You Raise Me Up", along with a guy named Gavin Rae soloing. Man, he has a great voice! He sings in the cortet for Coral Ridge, and the four of them are probably 18 or 19, but SO good. seriously, whenever i hear them sing i think "i hope that my husband can sing that like". lol. just something in the back of my head. but, yeah, they are all extremely talented. Anyways, speaking of Josh Groban, i think i am going to take his CD with me to Honor Academy. I've been a little unsure if it is considered "Secular" or not, but i mean.... my church sang one of his songs. thats got to mean something.
sorry for all of my babbling, i've had a strange energy since 6am here. i think its because of my fear of mosquitoes. i cant sleep. all i think is that they are going to bit me. i have like 25 bites already. ah.

during the olympics opening ceremony in Greece, they either used a Bjork song, or Bjork sang towards the end. it was after the walk of nations part, which takes a long time. anyways, i thought that was cool.

5 And have you forgotten the word of encouragement that address you as sons:
"My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, 6 because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son."
7 Endure harship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?... 9 Morever, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live! 10 Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harveset of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

My mom just showed me the new Rolling Stone magazine for August 19, 2004 with Lyndsey Lohan on the cover. There is an article about Operation Rescue called "One Man's God Squad". Its about some of our friends, Troy Newman and the Sullengers (who used to attend our church before they moved) and their campaign to stop abortion in Witchita, Kansas. They guys are hardcore pro-life missionary's. the article is pretty long. You should check it out. Its interesting to hear what they are doing.
but its really cool to see them in the magazine. i was thinking "WOW! i know them!"

Victoria says that I am moving up in the world, but my mom thinks that she is wrong.
I was thinking, why is it that the gay community is pro-choice? its not like it effects them.

today my family came down from Daytona Beach. It was actually nice having company. We went swimming, and got some Thai food. that was the first time i have ever eaten any and i rather enjoyed myself. afterwards my aunt star and i took my mom to see The Village. she liked it a lot, as i thought she would.
my dad is in san diego until monday, i believe. i hope that he gets my cds from the van.
i have been learning to entertain myself in strange ways while here in Florida. I catch myself whistling a lot, which is driving my parents nuts. I also make cat noises with my lips and i clap often. actually i have been teaching my dad how to get a hardy clap. i am afraid, though, that it will soon be turned against me one morning.
i hope all is well. and please remember to pray for brittany and her family. thanks

So this morning i talked to my representative from Honor Academy about college credits earned while attending. and she told me that they changed it so that now you are able to attain 27 credits by the end of the year rather than 6, through a school in Phoenix called Grand Canyon University. So i applied online and i filled out my FAFSA. Now all i have to do it choose what classes I am going to take, once I get to Honor Academy. I also got my airplane ticket for Dallas. I leave at 9:20 from Ft Lauderdale and arrive in Dallas at 2:22, after an hour and thirty minute lay-over in Atlanta.
Anyways, my grandparents are coming down this weekend. Along with my Aunt Star, my cousin Garth, and their friend Steve (no Garths imaginary friend.). So this should be fun. I left all my CD's in the van parked at Sonnys. Hopefully my dad will remember to get them before Josh gets home and looses them all.
I hope everyones doing well. its just about to rain. pray that it wont stop.
